Why do black panthers use the "Fist" sign to represent?
Power sign! The Black Panther Party is the organization best symbolized by Black Power. Formed in 1966 in Oakland, California by Bobby Seale and Huey Newton. Brought up in despair and anger of ghetto life. The reason Black Panther main development was to have self-defense. They proclaimed themselves the protectors of ghetto blacks against police brutality. The Black Panthers initially patrolled the area ghetto black with guns and law books to protect blacks against harassment by the police. At the same time, they provided a complimentary breakfast, opened schools and medical clinics in their neighborhoods. Conflicts between Black Panthers and police in the late 1960 and early 1970 led to shoot-outs in California, New York and Chicago. One of those shootings resulted in Newton goes to prison for murder a patrol. (1) The Panthers were swamped by thousands of young blacks across the country want to join. However, rhetoric inflammatory not only because the Panthers attractive to angry young blacks, but also the organization of a target for FBI surveillance and persecution of the police. Nationwide, police raids on Black Panther headquarters have been frequent and bloody, and the ranks of the party were decimated by police bullets or imprisonment. By the mid-1970s, management Panthers were decimated by prison sentences (Huey Newton in Oakland), killed by police (Fred Hampton in Chicago), exile (Eldridge Cleaver in Algeria) and the revolution of opinion towards Pan-Africanism (Carmicheal Stanlev in Guinea) (2) Having lost limbs and fallen out of favor with many American black leaders, who opposed the method of the game. The Panthers turned from violence to concentrate on conventional politics and the provision of social services in black neighbor hoods. The party was effectively disbanded by the early 1980s. Black Panther beliefs and reasons for their actions and existence is what makes the Panthers a organization unique from other Black Power-aunts. Huey Newton said it best "We are for transforming the decadent reactionary system racism that exists in these times ... We do not like the system. "Because of their insistence to arm and frequent clashes with the police, Newton explained that the Panthers assume a defense "against violence eventually be resolved and lead to violence." Huev leave to be known that the Panthers did not believe in the American political process because "electoral politics is bankrupt and can not solve the problems of poverty, racism and oppression "(3) The Black Panther Party Platform and the program responds to what they want and what they believed: 1) We want freedom. We want power to determine the destiny of our Black Community. 2) We want full employment for our people. 3) We want an end to flight the capitalist of our Black Community. 4) We want decent housing, fit for shelter of human beings. 5) We want education for our people that exposes the true nature of this decadent American society. We want education that teaches us our true history and our role in society. (6) We want all black men to be exempt from military service. 7) We want an immediate end to POLICE and RRUTALITY murder of black people. 
We want freedom for all black men held in federal, state, county jails and City and prisons. (9) We want all black people when brought to trial to be tried before a court by a jury of their peers or people in their communities black, as described by the United States Constitution. (10) We want land, bread, housing, education, clothing, justice and peace. And as our major political objective, plebiscite, UN-supervised to be held throughout the black colony in which only colonial subjects Black will be allowed to participate, for purposes of determining the will of black people as to their national destiny. (4) The Black Panther Party used art and propaganda to attract blacks from all states. In the posters, Black Panthers seems jackets and black leather with black faces of young warriors. Panthers had very strong words that gave a strong message. Words such as "Power to the People" and "die for the people." The Fist of Glory was their strongest symbol. It represented the power, glory and history, among blacks. This fist was known around the world. It has even been shown Olympics by two American runners. The art of the panther is known. This Black Panther Party stage shows some of the most important and changes the Panthers lived. Milestones Black Panther Party 1966-October 15: Huey P. Newton and Bobby Seale finalize a draft of Black Panther Party 10 Point Program and Platform and founder of the Black Panther Party of Self Defense 1967-January 1: BPP opens first official headquarters on 56th and Grove streets of Oakland, California-February 21: Two years after the assassination of Malcolm X, armed BPP members are confronted by police outside the offices of San Francisco REMPARTS magazine while escorting his widow, Betty Shabazz. - 25 April: First issue of the Black Panther, the official news organ of the party. 1968-March: Publication of Eldridge Cleaver Soul on Ice, a collection Testing by the man who was appointed Minister of Information BPP. April: Black Panther Party opens office in New York. -April 6: Bobby Hutton 17, the first member of BPP and its national treasurer, was killed by Oakland police. - November 24: Eldridge Cleaver and Kathleen flee the United States, visit Cuba and Paris, and eventually settle in Algeria. -January: The first BPP Breakfast free for children under school age program is initiated at St. Augustine's in Oakland. - April 2: Twenty-one members BPP in New York were arrested on a wide assortment of conspiracy charges. -May 22: Eight members, including Ericka Huggins, who was arrested on various charges of conspiracy and murder in New Haven, Conn., Dec. 4: Illinois Land BPP leader Fred Hampton, 21, and Mark Clark, 22, were killed by robbers in Chicago police prosecutor's office of the state. 1970-March: Bobby Seale Enter the time, the history of the BPP and Huey Newton, is published. Former Panther Paul Coates reissues capture time under its imprint Black Classic Press in 1991. 1972-February: To die for the people, a collection of essays and speeches by Huey P. Newton, is published. 1973-March: Huey Newton's autobiography. REVOLUTIONARY SUICIDE is published. 1974-summer: Newton goes into exile in Cuba to avoid prosecution for beating to death a female customer café. Elaine Brown succeeds Newton as president of the BPP. -Fall: Eldridge Cleaver and Kathleen return from exile. Eldridge is a born again Christian. Four years later, he released Soul On Fire, an account of his religious conversion. 1988-In separate incidents, Cleaver and Newton are arrested for drug possession. 1989-1922 Aug: Newton was killed in the streets of Oakland in a drug dispute, Tyrone Robinson, member of the Black Guerrilla Family, was arrested for the murder.
